Disneyland Day #2

We hit a milestone on this trip. Mia is 40 inches, so she got to go on three new DL rides. Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain. Here favorite is BTM because it's not dark and doesn't have a fox tying up and trying to eat the bunny. Here she is on Space Mountain. She said she liked it, but didn't want to go on it again. Judging from pic, she was too worried about the darkness to enjoy the ride.

We finally saw Mulan!

I love this nutty girl.

Disneyland...AGAIN!

I know, we are ALWAYS at Disneyland, but we love it. We make a spring trip with the Emmons' family and in the fall, I am always in need of a getaway after Primo's Run. And I never mind the getaway being DL since the whole point is to be with Mia. The fall trip is extra fun for Mia because her dad comes along. I planned the trip in less than 18 hours...we decided to go on Thurday and left Friday morning.

We did Disney California the first day.

The poser on the carousel.

The poser on the fruit truck.

Since Mia does not like the live characters, but loves music and dancing, the High School Musical parade was a huge hit with her.

Third time at Ariel's Grotto and I'm not sure if this is the same "Ariel" as the first time we went, but it's definitely the same one as the one we saw last Spring. I think I even said something and the photographer looked at me and said..."Of course it's the same Ariel...there's ONLY one." Oops.

Mia waited in line to sit in the "A".

Vista Grande Thanksgiving Show starring...

...our Jalen!

Getting ready for the big show.

We were the only family with signs cheering our boy on! Great idea from Auntie Fer Fer.

Hello, Hello...

Jalen gives thanks.

My big girl

I snapped these as Randy was taking his "professional" shots of Mia. I can't wait to see how his turned out since mine were so cute. ;p

Happy Birthday, Mun Mun!

It is the birthday season for us! Mun Mun turns three today. Here's the birthday girl...

Mun Mun talking and eating, her two favorite things!

Jalen is really celebrating! (Okay, you know it's his dad's beer, right?)

Mia and Jalen with the favorite Karmi.

The birthday girl pulling a pinata string.

Cake time!

Baby sneaking a taste.

Pao Pao and Gung Gung with their shadow, Baby.

Mia playing peek-a-boo.

The Cho's minus Big Daddy.

Stevie and Cole...can't believe these two are all grown-up!

Mia's buddy Rohan. Rohan recently told his mom "Mommy, I'm confused. I don't know if I should marry Micayla or Mia." =)

Happy Birthday, Mun Mun...enjoy being three!

Happy Birthday, Pao Pao!

We went to a delicious Vietnamese restaurant for my mom's birthday. Thank goodness we eat early due to the kids. Do you want to dine next to a group of 14 with six kids?!?!? Here's how we keep them quiet after they're done eating.

Here's the shot right after the one above. Baby saw the camera and immediately cheesed it up. That Baby!

The kids surround their grandparents. They really can't go more than a few days without seeing them, otherwise the kids miss them terribly. Exactly how we hoped they'd feel about them. =)

And, again, who is looking right at the camera?!?!? THAT BABY!

Chillin' in the van

Check out Baby watching tv on the drive to Pao Pao's birthday dinner. Only one thing to say..."That Baby!".

Another day at the park...milestones and more singing

After a summer of trying to hang on the monkey bars while kicking her feet up and suceeding, Mia hit another milestone...

Can you hear the surprise and pride in my voice...what a total mommy moment!

Here are the kids singing a song Auntie FF has sung to them since they were babies. They still don't get all the words right though. More practice, Auntie FF! Check-out Jalen's punching moves, yikes!

To the city now...

From Danville to Oakland and now off to the city. We got to visit Auntie FerFer and Uncle Daylan today. We hung out at their place and took off to the CA Academy of Science. The new building is AMAZING and all the natural lighting makes you feel like you're outdoors. Here are the two trouble makers looking at the top of the aquarium.

Mia loved this white alligator. She was mesmerized by it and the fact that his knee was bleeding and no one would give him a band-aid.

Obligatory pose for her blog obesessed mother.

What a treat, we ended up having a sleepover and Auntie FF's and Uncle Daylan's. Mia got treated to a magic show by Uncle Daylan. If you thought Mia was in love with Uncle Daylan before, now he's not only great, but he's also a magician who can make a bed disappear and reappear (think Murphy bed). The two buddies hanging out.

MOCHA with Mun Mun

We can't get enough of this place. We finally brought Mun Mun with us and she loved it. Can't you tell by the smile?

We are "regulars" there now. One of Mia's favorites is Ms. Anne. She is so patient and friendly!

Poor Wai Wai is dying to go to MOCHA, but his school and nap schedule make it near impossible to take him. Maybe this weekend though!

New play thing

Mia got a lot of cool gifts this year. But her mean mommy has a rule...she only gets to open and play with three of the gifts (I bring a new one out every so often). She picked her three and then she wanted to set-up her castle tent, but I vetoed that since it's so large (thanks, Lil!) and want to set it up outside during the summer. The veto did not stop Mia and Dan Dan from playing with it though. Introducing their new "horse"...

Mia celebrates with the family

We headed back home after My Gym to get ready for our family to come over to celebrate Mia's birthday. It's always so nice to have everyone around.

Mia with everyone's favorite, Karmi.

Carter (Tito, as Mia calls him) drew a very nice birthday wish for Mia.

Dan Dan gave Mia a Hello Kitty make-up set...exactly what she wanted (great...).

One of Mia's great grandma's (my mom's mom).

Mia's other great grandma sitting with the youngest great grandchild, Baby.

With the Chan family, there is never a shortage of kids.

Now that the kids are older, Tito finally likes playing with them. What's not to like about being chased, wrestled and beat up on?

Just what Randy wanted and needed...a fourth sister! And as Ellen would say, "younger" sister.

Posting this because Nicole was so reluctant to have her picture taken!

The birthday girl with her gung gung, pao pao and her cousins.

Happy Birthday, babes!

Happy 4th Birthday Mia!

My girl turned four (yesterday)! I can hardly believe it, but she reminds me every day with her growing limbs, growing vocabulary and impressive ability to negotiate and justify her actions and wants (boy am I in trouble!). She had a great day today with TWO birthday parties. The first one with all her little friends at My Gym.

It was great to see her so excited and happy. She is at an age where she can anticipate things and she has been waiting and waiting for this party, so when the day finally arrived...pure joy!

Here are all the kids in action. I have more photos coming since my camera died.

All Mia's friends enthusiastically introducing themselves.

Mia getting a turn to "spin".

Lauren doing a cheer for her buddy Mia.

Thanks everyone for a great day! Mia is still talking about it.
