5th Annual Chan Clan Halloween Party

Let's get the party started! It is so much fun every year having the kids get together for trick or treating. Each year, though, it seems like less and less homes pass out treats or decorate their homes which is too bad since the kids are older now and can remember a lot more. It's not all the candy I miss, but the neighborhood spirit. But the kids, nonetheless, had a great time and didn't mind the occassional sprinkle of rain.

Do you notice a trend with the girls?

One of the best pictures of Mun Mun. Look at that sweet smile and twinkly eyes!

Oooohhhhh...scary ghost! Okay, it's just Wai Wai.

Jasmine and the purple fairy!

Ellen dressed up as fervent Obama supporter...oh wait, she isn't dressed up! You go, girl! Mama's for Obama!

Elizabeth with a cute lil' ghost haunting one of the houses we went to.

Mia and Hailey checking out the pumpkin.

This is what you got if you were lucky enough to have us come to your house!

Mia running to catch up with the rest of the gang. She ran pretty well in those plastic heeled princess shoes.
Anika joined us for the festivities this year. She makes a sweet Cinderella.

The mischievous monkey was up to his usual shennanigans...pushing his way to the front; holding up traffic to see what new candy he got in his basket; pilfering from the other kids baskest...but he also learned to say "trick or treat". Say what you want about Baby, but he can definitely hold his own.
Up and down the hill and back home with full treat bags.

Halloween Parade and Show

Mia loves her new school, Children's Academy. She and Dan Dan are in the same class and love it! They were in the school Halloween parade and sang for us.

Mia talks a lot about her friend Conner. He made a cute Indy!

Beans on BART

We took BART into the city today to visit Auntie Fer Fer & Uncle Daylan. It was also a door-to-door delivery of homemade bean soup. I'm not complaining or anything, but do you know how much a full 8 quart pot of bean soup weighs?!?! If you guess that it's about as much as Mia, you wouldn't be off by much.

Mia on the train. She looks like a total big girl in this picture.
Mia enjoying a story about a mouse named...Desperado?!!? I have a feeling I'm off on the name.

The beginning of the end. It started off with a little tickling, then these two got into one of their crazy imaginary games.

We had a great time and we will likely be back soon, since five lil' piggies (Fer Fer, me, Mia, Daylan & Aunt Helen) ate up half the bean soup that was meant for FF. Another delivery is, gladly, in our near future.

Ethan's 5th Birthday Party

We had such a great time at Ethan's bowling birthday party! Unbelieveable that he is five now. Here he is with Lily Beth (aka...Lulu, Elizabeth).

Mia and her buddy. So cute!

Wai Wai and Mun Mun wishing Ethan a happy birthday.

Mia says hi to "grandma".
The cousins saying "hi"...you know it's been soooo long since they last saw each other.

Jalen mistakenly ignored Mun Mun's very loud "hi" 10x's, so to make it up, she got a kiss.

Time for some bowling action!

You know Baby couldn't be left out...

This is what happens when you interrupt the fun for a photo op. It looks like a line-up.

And when you make Jalen take a picture between his two girl cousins...

WW is such a good big brother, helping Mun Mun with the bowling ball and watching the ball go down so that he can count how many pins she knocked down.

It's TP (Tiny Panda) and TB (Tiny Bear) together at last ! I am pretty sure that only Panda and I know which is TP and which is TB.

The girls with their girls!

Kailey, Virginia, me, Mia, Jordan, Vicki

Dora, Amanda, me, Mia, Elizabeth, Ellen

I thought this was a funny shot, a basket full of old bowling shoes with Ethan's name on it...no, it wasn't one of his gifts!

Happy Birthday, Ethan!

Happy Birthday Jalen!

Our boy turned six today! They really grow-up quickly! Jalen got to pick where he wanted to go for lunch and dinner. Here he is at "Fresh Choice" blowing out his ice cream sundae.

He originally picked Round Table for dinner, until he found out Pao Pao was around, so he decided that he wanted her cooking instead! We had salt & pepper pork chops and chinese sausage.

FF & Daylan's Wedding!

The day has arrived and my lil' FF is getting married! We are excited for many reasons...FF is marrying a great guy, the kids are part of the wedding, and well, someone is actually marrying FF! ;p

Mia cleans up well, doesn't she?

Mia feel asleep 15 minutes before walking down the aisle...yikes!

The girls loved being a "real" princess.
Seriously, though, gorgeous or what?

Just before the kids' big moment.

There they go!

Gung Gung and Pao Pao with the kids.

Poor Mun Mun...during the ceremony all she wanted to know is WHY she couldn't stand with her brother and cousins.

The boys looking for their name cards in wine corks.

I don't normally wear much make-up, but since I was getting my hair and make-up done, I went for the smoky look. Scary thing is that Mia loved it the most! She was begging for black eye shadow!!! She really loves make-up.

Auntie Fer Fer & Uncle Daylan's rehearsal dinner

The day before the BIG day! FF & Daylan had their rehearsal dinner at our neighborhood clubhouse. It was so much fun with BBQ and as a surprise, Ron, the line dance instructor!

Mia with the happy couple.

Baby giving Gung Gung a kiss.

The kids sitting on Jason's lap.
