Visiting Leo & Sofie

Well, we actually went to visit Jeffrey and Patrick, but I think the dogs stole the show. First Mia was petrified of them that when she was inside, they were out. When we were out, they were in. We could only hope time would make things better.

It was a nice day, but chilly and the pool was 65 according to Patrick, but that did not stop this lil' fish from splashing around.

After 2+ hours, Mia actually played with Leo & Sophie. She loved throwing the ball for Sofie to run after it. And she couldn't remember their names, but called them by the color of their collar the "blue one" and the "pink one". Sofie (the pink one) became the instant favorite after uncle Patrick told her she was a "princess". Here's the princess herself and Mia was THIS close to the dogs...yeah, progress!

Cool Cat

Part of the "cool cat" look is to also look annoyed at your mom for wanting to snap a picture of you.

5th Annual Easter Brunch & Egg Hunt

We had a wonderful Easter today with our annual brunch and egg hunt. The kids finally out numbered the adults (23 to 21)! Although there were 23 kids in the house, it was not as crazy as you'd expect. And the great thing is that although some kids met for the first time today, everyone played together nicely. I love that kids are so open and accepting.

Here they all are...can you believe we got this shot?!?!

Mia and Rohan became fast buddies. They were pretty inseparable during the party. I think they think alike, which might mean more trouble for me and Grace! ;)

Here are all the photos from our fun day.

Thanks to everyone for coming and making the party so special. And for the first time, we had a "green" party, we recycled about 75% of the eggs for next year.

SoCal pictures

I found these pictures in the "My Scans" folder and realized that I never posted them. Poor Mia is going to look back at these photos and think "I have strange parents".

On the Coastersaurus at Legoland...

I loved the Wild Animal Park in San Diego. Mia looks so bored in this picture. I'm sure she was thinking, "Why do I have to have my hands up?". If you didn't know, the animals were added with Photoshop...I hope that didn't ruin the picture for anyone. =)

Graduating from Gym Class

Mia completed her first non-parent assist gyn class and they had a "graduation" ceremony. Mia is pretty good at gymnastics, but as her aunts would say..."Mia is daring and can run, jump, and climb with the best of them, but leave her to walk and the poor girl trips"...what can I say but that nobody's perfect. =)
