Just a nice picture of Wai Wai and Virginia with a new camera. For once WW is not squinting at the camera!

Mia's first pedi!
Fer Fer and I went to get a mani & pedi and took Mia with us. She got treated to her first salon experience with painted toes. She picked a blue polish (which was fine cuz it was sheer) but then she picked blue confetti to go on top of that...yikes! If it wasn't a special treat I would have nixed it, but she really wanted it and it is just nail polish...
Leonora & Mia
No trip to NY is complete without visiting my dear friend Leonora. Last time we were in town, I did not get a picture of Mia Leonora together, so this time I had the camera handy.
I'm not sure if Mia remembered Leonora from our last trip, but as soon as Leonora walked in, Mia asked her to read a book to her. It was really sweet.

Pastis NY....yum
We ate at Pastis (http://www.pastisny.com/) in the meat packing district. The food is delicious and I highly recommend it! I had the Eggs a la Basquaise...my mouth is watering just writing about it. But what is a good meal without good company.
Mia with her "boyfriend", Uncle Daylan.
And with fun Auntie Fer Fer...they look so sweet and innocent, but trust me, together they are trouble!

Shopping for Fer Fer's big day
How fun that we were with Fer Fer when she picked out her wedding dress. Fer Fer and I were both shocked that Mia was able to be at the boutique for TWO HOURS! But they did make it fun for her. This tomboy really loves girly things too!

Back in NYC!
Mia and I made our 3rd trip to NYC. We love it there. The only thing bad about it is that time really flies. We stayed a week this time, but next time I think we need to do 10 days (look out Fer Fer & Daylan...here we come...again!).
Mia enjoyed the Children's Museum (http://www.cmom.org/). We spent a good amount of time there with all the different activities they had there. A highlight was the Dora & Diego exhibit. Another highlight was Mia out running an older boy who was trying to bully her (and other kids) to give up her toy. It was a proud mom moment for me to have her stand up for herself. =)

Mia's first field trip
Mia went on a class field trip to Sulphur Creek in Hayward to learn about animals. She used to take monthly classes there, so I was going to pass on this field trip...but when Mia found out they were going on a school bus, she definitely had to go.

New scarves and MOCHA
Ethan and Elizabeth modeling new scarves curtesey of my mom (pao pao).
We headed off to the Museum of Childrens Art in Oakland (http://www.mocha.org/). What a great art studio for kids to be creative. They have several projects set-up and the kids just do what they want. The best thing about this place...no clean up for us, we just get to enjoy watching the kids be creative (and messy). We loved it so much that Ellen and I got annual memberships.
Painting was the activity of choice...
