2nd Dance class

What a difference a week makes! Mia did not cry this week and she actually did some dance exercises!!!! She came out 3 or 4 times to make sure I was outside of the classroom waiting for her, but I'll take it! Check out her lil' foot on the dance bar...

And look, no more arm crossing for the train...yeah!

Party Time!

Gung Gung's grand opening party of "Rickshaw's All You Can Eat Sushi" was a hit! Mia and Karmi can't get enough of the unagi. Mia had 6 out of 8 pieces of her unagi roll and Karmi ate THREE unagi hand rolls!

Mars take two

My first video posting is of the kids singing "M-A-R-S...Mars!" Here they are again, do you think they're better 3 months later?

Getting ready for the party

Here are the kids getting ready to go to the opening of Gung Gung's all you can eat sushi bar. Well, at least the girls dressed up...(I know it looks like Mia is doing some sort of "model" pose, but in reality, she is highly annoyed with me wanting to take a picture, so she was just getting antsy with her arms.)

These kids really love each other...

Reno trip

We got into Reno on Friday around dinnertime and ate dinner at the Nugget's seafood buffet...yum! On Saturday, we took it pretty easy since the kids and adults (ME!) were tired. Sunday, however, was a fun, busy day!

First stop was to Virginia Lake to feed the ducks. If you ever take your kids to feed the ducks, let me tell ya, popcorn goes way too fast. The kids didn't want to get their hands greasy so they just dumped the bag in water for the ducks to eat...brillant idea Chubs!

Then we walked across the street to the park. Here's Karmi and Kailey getting some relief in the shade.

A day in the city

We spent the rest of the day (and night) in the city with Auntie Maria, Uncle Chris, Andrew, Megan, Aunt Lynda, Karmi, Carter, Chubby, Kailey and Wai Wai. First stop was the Steinhart Aquarium.

The monkey (Karmi), bird (Megan) and a couple of "block heads" (Andrew & Carter).

So fun having so many (more) cousins around!

Then we headed to the Yerba Buena park where they had a REALLY big slide! (pix: big slide; Karmi & Wai Wai; Mia)

In between all this fun, we pigged out at 'Wich Craft for lunch, the fancy new food court at the Bloomies mall for dinner and did a lil' shopping. Boy was it a packed day...but totally fun!

Mia's first day of dance class

Not sure if Mia enjoyed her first day of dance class. She was too worried that I was going to leave her...I guess that's why the have the class for 3 - 5 years olds! But, I snuck her in thinking she'd have fun and I think she will, once she gets used to it. Nonetheless, it was really cute watching her and the other girls doing "dance" moves in their tutu's.

Mia's face did light up when Miss Barbara played "A Whole New World" from Aladdin.

Father's Day dinner with 10 kids!

At our family Father's Day dinner, we got special visitors...Andrew & Megan! They are in town for a few days and it was great to see them. The kids adored them and they all had so much fun playing. We really wish they would move back to the Bay Area!

Happy Father's Day!

Mia got her dad a popcorn machine for Father's Day. It was the perfect gift for their movie nights.

Vicki & Dan Dan

Just a nice picture of mother and daughter...even though it's Father's Day!

A day at the Lawrence Hall of Science

We got to see the circus exhibit at the Lawrence Hall of Science in Berkeley. Recognize anyone in the Clown Alley?

And Mia hugged the elephant, but wouldn't go near the lion.

The girls even got to pet a snake!

Putting the kids to work

Uncle Jason has been home with the new baby for the past few days. He has gotten a taste of what our daily lives are like with all the kids together...a LOT of noise! On his last day before going back to the office, he came up with a brillant idea to put the kids to work...they seemed to love every minute of it.

Showing off their clean rides...

Justin...meet the gang!

We went to visit Justin today. He got a full taste of what his new family life will be like...sleeping through five rowdy playmates, being carried by each kid 10x's, being fought over who would carry him next, and being kissed 100x's. They all love him so much and were near tears when we told them that Justin couldn't leave with us. Lucky kid is surrounded by love!

Mia rocking Justin and the great debate...does he look more like Dan Dan or Jalen? You be the judge.

Best buds...Mia & Kailey

Just a sweet picture taken at lunch today...

Sesame Street Show

What an exciting day...first, Justin joins the family, then we all head out to the Sesame Street show. Since Vicki and Jason were a little busy, Panda and baby Ani joined us. It was a really great show that the kids and adults enjoyed!

One more for the Fu Family!

We feel very lucky to have one more join in on all the fun and craziness! Justin was born today at 2:45pm, weighing 6 pounds 14 ozs and measuring 20 inches. He is healthy and his dad says he looks just like his big brother. Mom and dad are doing great.

Mia's first month

Finally...a slideshow tool for the blog! Can you believe she was ever this little?

Princess in Training

Much to her mother's disdain, Kailey is taking a liking to princesses. I had to take this photo because I'm not sure if she looks like a bag lady or a princess...

Nicole's graduation party...watch out Cal!

Congratulations to our Nicole! She graduated from high school and is now off to Cal. Her graduation party was fun and in addition to some nice gifts, she got a new shadow...Mia! Mia was with Cole the hold time laughing and having fun. Mia also let Cole give her a mohawk!

Kailey loves the Gee's dog, Dino.

Here's Kailey feeding Dino. I was not at the best angle, but there is a good shot of her big ole grin at towards the end. I had to include this video because her excited squeal is so cute AND very loud!

And then there's my babe, totally shaking in her boots at the sight of Dino. I don't know how much longer her fear of dogs is going to last, but she's pretty afraid of them. But as scared as she was, she wanted to feed Dino some food.

Mia couldn't sleep tonight after being in the same room as Dino. She called for me to assure her that Dino was sleeping at Auntie Rose's house and not her house. After I told her that he was, she said she felt better...not sure this fear of dogs will go away anytime soon...

BBQ at the Sun's

Ed & Tina had a nice gathering at their place with Kelvin, Kathee and Alex in town. It was fun catching up with everyone and seeing all the kids. Tina also makes a mean kal-bi...yum!!!

Kathee with baby Claire and Kelvin with Mia and Carter:

Mia and Carter are good pals. They don't see each other too often, but always seem to be able to pick-up where they last left off...it helps that Carter is very sweet to Mia and Mia gets a partner in crime (Claire...sorry these two woke you up!).

One form of exercise a dad get these days....(Alex is towards the end of the video if you want to know what he looks like at almost two).

Hobie, the scientist, giving Mia and Carter a biology lesson. The roly poly bugs kept them occupied for a while.
